This is funny with hints of what might happen if everyone in the usa fell into a deep coma for a few months. The fact that we call the big baseball game the world series is just our way of saying we are the world and the rest of the world better get use to it.

Thanks for the laugh.

What a delightful read that made me laugh. I had the privilege while in the US Air Force to serve with the Royal Air Force in Great Britain. The Brits really loved their monarchy. I never really understood why but they are a people steeped in tradition. I found the average Brit to be very friendly, well educated and much more articulate than the average American. They also had a great sense of humor. I was often told that I was the one with the accent and that I most certainly did not speak English--I spoke American.

Sometimes, I wish the Brits would take us back but I'm not sure they would have us! Thanks for a good laugh. Ken

So pleased you enjoyed this one. It made me laugh too. I love the Brits--I have several in the family.

Bravo. Love the dry British humour, particularly with the grouse, the world series, and football. Must have been fun to write (those Americans make an easy target!) Perhaps a response is called for from Obama? Cheers mate!

What a hoot! After the latest Obama scandals, I am in FAVOUR of this proposition, times one hundred. Oh, except that I prefer fry sauce (ketchup mixed with mayonnaise) on my chips, thank you.

I come from a Canadian background and just love vinegar on my chips. Glad you got a kick out of this one.

I love your sense of humour. The Queen's rules are hilarious! Wish she would include in the future the immediate reinstating of the pronunciation of the letter T i.e wanted, water, pontiac etc. U've made my day! Just joined the site about a week ago. Great humor! I mean "humour" . It's Microsoft !

My spellcheck does the same thing. I live in Mazatlan, Mexico and ever so often it switches to Spanish and everything gets underlined in red. Hope you like FS, I do and I've learned a lot and made some great friends.

This is very funny, very clever and all of it true! I think it would be great if you could extend, or update it with even more comparisons.

Hi Sasha,

This commentary is so funny and I am still laughing. It seems we have failed to govern, speak properly, drink beer or play baseball. What a shame! I am glad you posted this as the humor is delicious....blessings, chey
