I am so sorry for your loss. This was beautiful, and it sounds like the relationship you had with your brother was also beautiful. This brought tears to my eyes. Again, I'm so sorry.

Thank you so much. yes it was a good relationship, then when we moved away it was not as easy to see him, but I should have. He was great fun, and writing this has helped me xx

The dam burst and we gained a beautiful write. Certainly one of the most beautiful eulogies I have read in a long time and I hope you read it if he has a memorial service. Really outstanding. Ray

This is an excellent narrative poem about what must be a horrid loss for you. You have my sympathy. I think most people know what a greasy spoon is, I've eaten in my share of them.

Sod the mistakes, friend. This gets five stars for having the courage to put pen to paper on such a sad and disturbing subject. As I read it, your brother has nothing to forgive. You clearly had a deep love and respect for him, and I'm sure he knew it.
Get back to writing.... it's good therapy for all forms of grief and emotions.
