A great poem about a puppy acquired after being without a dog for ten years. The poem, especially the last stanza, is sweet as your devotion to the dog is expressed. Well done.

We put a baby gate on our bedroom, so they have a 'Harley-free' zone where they know they can be safe. I have to admit my surprise at how much time they DO spend near him. Simba comes right up to him and Harley stays still, . . . but Leo must be fair game, because whenever Leo is near, Harley is in his face! It is great fun~

I loved this piece. It reminded me of when we got our own puppy, also after ten years. He is now two years old, and still the 'puppy' of the house. I wish you and your puppy a very happy new year.
