Dear Pupa,

This is a very insightful and well written poem
that I'm sure is touching all who read it. Yes,
we do give too much credance to walls; mostly
for self-protection, how sad of us.

I enjoyed reading this a lot.

This piece captures the lonlines of time and portrays the walls between that lonliness which could be lifted, bringing fulfillment and hunger quenched. Well done. I'd give a six for this had I one left to give. Very expressive within its lovely content.

Lynda, your encouraging comments really mean a lot to me.
I remeber that film, when she used to sit alone talking to her wall!! I had just arrived to England to stay for a few years.
    Take care.

Hello Pupa. Another great piece to add to your collection. The wall can protect us, it also can separate us from what could be. I watch a movie where a couple met but lost contact. They kept searching for each other, not knowing they were only separated by a wall. It took an earthquake for them to meet again.

As I connect all to music or to a song, my dear PUPA, Eleanor Righby will be with me all day, I can see.
Hauntingly sad and touching. The lives behind walls we know nothing about until tha wall falls.
Love you.

Yes, I see all that, I don't want to die all walled in.
I see a pigeon on my balcony, such hope, dearest PUPA.
    Love,

Hello PUPA I would just like to say how much I enjoyed reading your poem. Very clever idea talking about walls, like you say some keep you in and some keep you out. Well done and thank you for sharing your poem with us.

I love the pictures you paint with this piece of writing. The people and their emotions, the vivid pictures of loneliness, wondering what the woman is looking at in her album, and the recently bereaved widower. Hoping for a visit from his grown children. Such pain here, yet such beauty. One sees them, feels them. Robert Frost wrote something there is that doesn't love a wall. Did he mean this one as well?

This was such a powerful write and made me think of how many walls I have allowed to interfere with my life and those in it.

Much emotion and imagery....

look at you standing between them, hate you, wishing
you were invisible, to give those lonely people a chance
to talk, tell stories, listen, share, care, love and be loved.

Thanks so much pupa for making me see the walls...

What an interesting poem you have here. Two people suffering with loneliness when they could be of such comfort to each other. Damn wall! Someone should tear it down.
Good flow and great message in this poem. I like the progression of it and your words bring much emotion to the reader. Well done.
