    Hi Teri,
Thank you so much for your lovely review. I'm glad the description and dialogue work well. A writer knows what's in their head, but not sure how it plays out until someone else tells us. You've been helpful in letting me know.
    Hugs,
    Rhonda

Hades indeed is similar in nature to Satan, with all the beauty and malevolence someone who has long forgotten goodness and reviles it, bless God we crave only goodness and mercy. Great story, I don't think anyone who understands less than God could truly write this, I love more the human gods who are worse than we imperfects. Well done Rhonda, blessings Roy.
Typo: to (w)retch is to nearly vomit. Wretch is a dear poor soul suffering.

Thank you for the inspired review, Roy!! I am trying to show how Satan uses many tactics to try and reach people. Fear is one of his favorites, but flattery and temptation is another. Keeping her thoughts centered on the truth will set her free.

Thanks for the spelling help. I?ll correct it at once!

    Take care,
    Rhonda

Echo reminds me of Persephone, Hades used those tactics with her.

She is actually going to show up later in the book, lol. I do try to show the different tactics of the enemy even on us by reflecting it on this character.

I like this amusing exchange: You'll thank me for it later." "I have a distinct feeling I won't." i like the focus on energy I'm an energy person so this is like really talking to me. The reader will lean forward with this line: "My dear," Hades said slowly and distinctly, "I wasn't just there. I was the one who set the fire." this doesn't sound very endearing: "After many years of confinement, you'll beg for even the tiniest drop of my attention." quite a plot is developing here.

    Hi Liz,
I'm so glad the energy piece spoke to you. I like energy as well. It's behind our strength.

Hades switches back and forth on his tactics with Echo. He wants her, but isn't quite sure how to handle her. He threatens, he bullies and he sweet talks.
Thanks again for the comments. They were very helpful!

Hesiod, Homer, Sophocles, and the other Greek poets/writers would be glad to add you--and your story here--to their illustrious ranks.
For such a handsome dude, can Hades please get a toothbrush and toothpaste--and use them! Nothing as ironically repelling as beauty that stinks.
Is Theo a demigod, all human, or a lesser full god?
I take it Hades can't just rape her.
Interesting story. Good suspense created at the chapter's end.

Hi my friend, thank you for the lovely review. It was uplifting!
Theo is a lesser God, the grandson of Poseidon. He?s about to get a promotion, though, on the successful completion of a mission he?s been sent on to free the captives on Mount Olympus. No spoiler alert, it was in an earlier chapter.
I am so excited you read the chapter, my friend.

    Take care,
    Rhonda

OH MY!!!! Hades is a pain in the butt. I do hope Echo is strong enough to fight his off, emotionally. I am pretty sure Theo will eventually beat him, but no clue how he'll do it. I really like this story.

Barbara, thank you so much for the 6 stars! I appreciate your comments as well. Hades is definitely a pain!! But he has a weakness, too, and it just might be the same as Theo's!
    Take care,

Another fine chapter, Rhonda....and that Hades, he's about as dastardly and devilish as they get, but I'll put my money on Echo to win in the end. Devil or no, you don't mess with her!

It's definitely a real match of wills, but can Echo remain steadfast if Theo's destruction is used to persuade her and vice versa? The story is written very well and very interesting. Well done!

Wrong choice of words, again. He has decided to beg her now! LOl. Well! How is Echo going to escape Hades? He is a very powerful god, and can easily overcome Echo. Who is going to rescue her? Will Theo come? Echo really will need her wits about her now. This is a fabulous chapter, Rhonday, and I'm so glad you posted today before I lost all my sixes. Warmest hugs, my friend. Sandra xxx

    Hi Sandra,
Thank you for the six stars, my friend. I finished the chapter a little after midnight, so went ahead and posted before I went to bed.
    Thank you for the comments.
You?re right, Hades has tipped his hat, pointing out Echo is his weekends, too, lol.

    Thanks again,

BEST CHAPTER YET!!! Oh my goodness! This is fabulous! I hung on every word. Wow! Echo Jones taking on Hades! I love her spirit and sassy spunk. I think she sees through the lies about Theo too. The enemy of life prospers by building a house of lies. I believe he started the fire that took her family, but maybe they're in the Valley. Who knows, in the miracle of Concorde Valley they may still be alive. One can be hopeful. I feel Theo's arrival will be well timed but not before Echo gives Hades what for. She gave him hell in this one! Go Echo!
My friend, this is great, and I can't wait until the next chapter! I'm glued!
Sending you my best today as always, and Love & Blessings abundant across the bridge.

Sally, thank you for the brilliant review! I?m so glad you loved the chapter! Hades definitely didn?t get everything he wanted from the conversation, but she?s still his captive!
Perhaps help is on the way?

Interesting idea about her parents still being alive. Hmm?

You?ve got the idea about the enemy?s lies! Crafty and alluring, yet can never be trusted!

Thank you, love you across the bridge,
    Rhonda
