Omg! I didn't see that coming at all, John. That's the sign of a good writer, and there is no greater praise I can give to someone who writes passionately and is dedicated to getting it right. I loved this piece, John!

This is a real "gotcha" story. I'm glad I hung in until the end, enjoying the moment of him becoming just another "John". I had a good chuckle, great way to start my day. If there is a way of giving this guy a name in the beginning, the switch to John would have a real impact. Loved the story.

For some reason as I read, I knew there was a punch line coming. LOL I had fun reading. Thank you for sharing this with us.
I lay my hands down on the table. She took my queue and with the softness of a dove, placed her hands in mine. (lay down, the adverb as close to the verb it's describing as possible)

Thank you Barbara.
Much appreciated,

I suspected the ending to be as so, either that or you awoke from the reverie being viewed. It is a well written short story, and being a man, entranced me til the end. The only confusion for me was B.H. (thinking it was a country, was on one line, and then Russ Hotel the next.

You got me. I did not see that coming. Thank you for the surprise. I adore the ironic twist. I am known for them myself. It was all well-done. Enjoy your week. Karen :-)

It's a short silly post. With some expansion of your descriptions, longer time frames and more thought, it could be an entertaining story. But it's a fun skit instead.

Yes a short silly post as mentioned in the notes. Just having a little fun, not meant to be long and drawn out. Thank you for the generous rating.
Comment from Julie Helms
Excellent punch line!
I read this, seething, she's too good to be true!
Really humorous and enjoyable to read.
She took my queue (cue, queue means line)
My face nestled her curls, (nestled in her curls)

Wow, you should have a hot alert on this one! I will have to chase Mr. Law down after reading this one. Well written with a humourous ending. Priceless!
Sending you my best today as always and a virtual six and compliments. (I checked this twice before sending because the last time I sent you a virtual six, it typed something else.)
