I like your no rules poem, Beth. It's clever, smart, and to the point. I liked your slight political hint without beating it to death, lol. Your poem is a good one and I wish you best of luck in the contest.

Take care,
Rhonda

I like your take on the No Rules Poetry, using that as your topic and pointing out the vagaries of a world without rules, or at least boundaries and laws. It's very cleverly done, and I send you best wishes for the contest.

Thank you Wendy, I was having trouble coming up with a subject to write a no rules poem about so I decided to write about no rules. Not ver original but fun to write.

Break them all you like. This is cleverly thought out.

Thank you Karen. I glad you liked this. Some rules are meant to be broken and some are fun to break. I get all of my picture from Google chrome images.

I have Epson workforce 2760 but it hasn't worked for a long time, so I'm having my daughter do my printing. Maybe the chrome is the reason it isn't working.

Without rules there would be anarchy on the streets. I worried during the Pandemic that people would be lawless and living alone I felt vulnerable and made a few plans to barricade myself in my home should there be violence on the streets. I was very afraid to go out as everyone was so fearful of the virus. Because I stood out as a tourist, I was targeted and made to go the back of the queue at the Supermarket and I was powerless to do anything about it. It was a very frightening time and my survival instincts kicked in. We need rules and sometimes people use those rules to also be cruel to others. I enjoyed your sentiment here Beth and your good rhymes, a fine post for the contest, love Dolly x

Thank you Dolly. I think if they made us stay home and wear masks much longer we would have seen more violence than we did. People were getting stir crazy and testy. Thanks for the nice review.

You are right what would this word be without rules. And what do you think about the politicians that are changing the rules all the time. Thank you for sharing and good luck with your writings.

Thank you Iza. I was tempted to get more political punches in but I restrained myself. I think most politicians and one particular don't believe any rule should apply to them at all.

I've never paid any attention to rules, figuring that all rules are made to be broken. And of course, I've always managed to break them all more times than I'd care to admit. LOL. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you Ric, I've broken a few too. I didn't mean this to be taken too seriously. I just had fun writing it.

I know it's a cliche but I genuinely haven't any sixes left and this deserves one. Great skipping rhythm but more important your points about rules in each verse are so clever. From gravity to politics to the contest. So neatly done. A conservative point of view but sensible and correct. I hope you do well. X

I really like the way that you've interpreted the prompt so literally and given us a fun exploration of the importance of rules in life! You've employed a nice rhyming scheme and metre as well. You're right - life as we know it would be impossible were it not for rules to keep us all on the straight and narrow.
(I agree strongly that a leader who breaks rules should absolutely give us pause and should go to jail as well ...) :)

Thank so much for a great review. I'm glad you like this and we agree about the leader. I'm glad you explained to me how you came about the name Navada. Everytime I see it, I have remind myself you a neat lady who lives in Australia and not a male coyboy who lives in the western US. LOL

Ha ha ha! That's a hilarious mental image! I guess I'd probably write pretty differently if that was my life experience. :)

Your entry is more than a "will do" one. You gave us a glimpse of a ruleless world. I agreed with all your comments. Now you need to write another-What would life be like if everyone, including the leaders, kept the rules!

Thank you Verna. I'm glad we're in agreement aabout the ruleless world. It would a much better world if we could persuade the leaders to keep the rules.
