You had me at "dinerview" I'm a sucker for puns. You are a very good story teller. With just enough details to pull you in, but isn't "over sharing" per se about things that a reader just doesn't need or care to know. A finesse!

I wish I could pitch the Dinerviews concept to a producer. I think it'd be a hit. But Mary was a special lady. Thanks for the nice review.

This could be a series. I'm sure many interesting things happened on the road. Did you ever get lost? Without GPS, what happened? Were you ever in danger? What things happened to some of the other truckers? Just my thoughts.

How delicious is that? To be out in his place is a garland worth savouring. There are a few women like that, and they've always worked in bars, or truck stop places, why these drips think they can get away with their remarks, is beyond me. Well done, blessings Roy

Lol. Enjoyed this read and Mary certainly was a lady of character. Yes, there are guys just like your description all over the place really. We have road diners in Australia and if you do enough driving you get to know the good ones and the bad. Well done and hope to hear more of your experiences.
