Barbara, it sounds like a very fun trip for you and your husband. I am sure you will have a great time. What got me laughing about this story is the idea of Grandma being a lawyer. Never having had kids, I can not imagine how you will walk that fine line...But good luck. Terry.

Thank you for the support. I get to spoil the kids and give them back to their parents. LOL But in order to do that, one needs a great relationship with the parents. I am lucky my son loves his mom, and my daughter-in-law and I have a very special relationship.

Grandchildren are so wonderful. They certainly have a mind of their own.
I owned a clothing Store for 25 plus years, in Santa Monica, Ca.
So many stories I could tell..but here is one I think you will enjoy.
I had a customer who brought her little boy of 4 into the store one day.
When I asked his name, he said jack. My customer said, no actually his name is Michael, but for some reason he wants to be called Jack. Every time ahe came in with her son, he would say that his name was Jack. This went on for two years. Finally my customer legally had her sons name changed to Jack as he would never answer to any other.
One has to wonder...right ...

Thank you for the support. Oh how cute. Children do have a mind so their own. My husband I raised four boys. I got a book by Dr. Dobson, 'The Strong-Willed Child'. After reading it, I realized I had four strong-willed sons. LOL Each one was strong-willed but in different ways.

I think a little grandma intervention and a little parental patience are due here. A child cannot fall into a mold and be like her older sister. She has to develop on her personality.
On your visit, I think you will find that you have so much to tell them in your letters.
