Aww. Sweet. A childlike poem appropriate for little ones but this young at heart adult loves it. If Shakespeare can create fairies in A Midsummer Night's Dream, who knows how true they are?

I didn't realize there was a National Fairy Day, but I'm all for it. I'll bet Peter Pan was responsible for introducing it. I believe that there are all kinds of spirits around us, and sometimes someone is lucky enough to come in contact with one.

Thank you wjdebi for a perfectly constructed iambic tetrameter in couplets. Flawless! And fun! Do you think 'and' works better than 'to' in the last line of verse 2? That's the only suggestion I can possibly find.
It's your impeccable choice of words which raises this poem higher than most. I will have to give it a six.

I like this little romp into the land of faerie. I choose to agree with you.
There should be a holiday off of work so we can find a place and time to meet these beings. I think a leprechaun put it on the calendar.

great little poem to celebrate international fairy day. In Korea they are called Tokabi and are like leprechauns, often offering people gifts and playing tricks on the unwarry
