I didn't grasp the impact of this verse until I read your notes. I then went back and read it again and realized what you were telling us.
I always thought it must be a real challenge to have a child with any "no cure known" condition. You seem to have accepted that challenge and indeed promote the tackling of it.
I wish you only the very best with Camryn and pray for your success in all that she or you encounters.
Thank you for the beautiful words and the resultant imagery.

Hello, Jessica,
A beautifully written poem about the challenges your daughter - and your family - are facing.
I must admit that I am not at all well-versed in dyspraxia.
But what I find truly interesting is that aside from your daughter's situation your poem will resonate with readers for many different situations. My thoughts turned to my own son and daughter and the numerous challenges that have faced on their life journeys.
And yet, both have persevered with courage, faith, and love.
Thank you for sharing.
And healing thoughts for your precious daughter.

This is a poem of hope and has a great celebratory mood. The picture is delightful, complementing the tone of the writing. It is amazing the resilience children can show!

The piece can be a commemorative of your darling daughter. May the two of you have the strength to face the devil in the eye and come out in a bed of roses.

This was a beautiful poem about your daughter. The images were strong. The emotion was compelling. The visual added to the poem nicely. The monorhyme aspect worked well.

Bless you. What a nice poem of and for your daughter.
Best wishes for you and Camryn.
Issues such as this are suffered by many, but love and support work wonders.

HI Jessica,
This mono-rhyme poem tells of a strong girl who knows what she wants and goes after it. It is a good ekphrastic poem for the picture or the picture is a lucky find to match the words.
Keep writing and stay healthy.
Good luck in the contest.

Thank you so much, Joan. I wish I could contact this artist, somehow. The artwork captures Camryn's energy and spirit remarkably well, I was surprised to have come across it.

Don't mention it, Jessica.

You did a great job with your contest entry, Jessica.
The picture was perfect. I liked the use of monorhyme,
too. Your words were descriptive and sweet at the same
time. Your notes were welcomed. I believe with her positive
attitude and support from family, Camryn will continue to
improve--the sky's the limit.
Thanks for sharing and best wishes in the contest, Jan

Comment from Terry Broxson
Jessica, this poem was beautifully written. I think it could have done well in most poetry contests; good luck with this one. The message and the rhymes are really good. I do realize after reading the author's note this is a personal poem about your daughter. Mother and daughter's attitudes are terrific. I think you all will accomplish whatever you wish.
But to a larger point, the poem applies to us all. That is what makes it outstanding. Terry.

Thank you for sharing Camryn with us. I am positive she will continue to surpass all the limits that attempt to come her way. I can't imagine any different. I will pray that it continues.
