I'd say this is taking a novel turn. I'm wondering if Miranda's beliefs that Missy murdered her hubby turns out to be all wrong, and that Missy is just lonely and truly wants to be friends with Miranda. Nah! Then where's the mystery?! I'll just have to wait like all the rest, and possibly you ... to find out what's going on.

The descriptions are good, the dialogue was not at all forced, and the whole story is very fluid and appealing.
