Already more complex, as he sees different aspects of his grandfather's character and life, which will complicate his thoughts and feelings about him, as well as what he does next. An excellent continuation.

Secrets abound? A poor Irish man giving so much away to help others... did he actually steal and sell the jewelry or is it something entirely different. I'm not telling... at least not right now. LOL

They couldn't rope and tie to keep me in school as a boy, I'd walk in the front door and slip out the back, starting in first grade. And of course, back then, no one kept track of who was there and who wasn't as long as you made your grades. But thankfully, you're back, and it's almost like being in class as I learn from you with every post. The only problem is now, I can't remember what I had for breakfast this morning. It's always a pleasure, my dear friend. Thanks for sharing.

Breakfast? I'm lucky if I even remember I am suppose to eat breakfast and then I discover it's already past noon. Time just flies and so does my mind. LOL

I think it's truly marvellous to arrive at the conclusion that previous emotions that one feels are merely suspicions and only that, but when you find that a man you you once considered a boot on the landscape was a person of quality, particularly if it's your grandfather. I've dug into ancestry - my own and others' - because no one seemed concerned about the foundation of people responsible for who we are. I learned a lot, some good and some not so good, but at least I know who they were. I hope that knowledge carries over into my characters.

This is an interesting chapter. Cooper is a surgeon so he doesn't have to be a criminal to make money or feel a sense of accomplishment. But they got his heart very quickly.

I don't believe he will become a criminal, but then I wonder if his vision of his grandfather and the men was colored by what he thought was happening. He'll be called upon to dig deep inside to make decisions and learn unexpected changes in his life.

I don't believe he will become a criminal, but then I wonder if his vision of his grandfather and the men was colored by what he thought was happening. A challenge, I see. I hope you don't figure it out too soon but if you do, the behind the scenes action and relationships hopefully will make the story worthwhile.
