What a place to stop! Just when he gets his own room, eats a decent breakfast with her, all seems to be improving! Of course, I'm hooked. Your writing is excellent. Clear, a touch of wit and humour, realistic, authentic dialogue .... Well done.

Very interesting and well written. The dialogue seems to be spot on what a real conversation would sound like. One issue:
"I'm his, he's staying with me. His dad had to leave town.
(Missing a word? "I'm his ? Sentence doesn't make sense.)
