But it is amazing how the guilty side projects their vile on the other, claiming the other side is doing what they, themselves, are doing.

Oh....so good... I love it. It's so scary to think that we can lose our right to vote. It's our foundation, the power of the people.
I grew up in Spain during fascist dictator, Francisco Franco. I moved to the USA and became a citizen to be free.
I can't believe that people still want trump in power, regardless all the mountain crimes committed.
I pray our country remains a democracy ... if we can keep it.

Welcome back, EE. You've come back with a poem that is full of passion about the democracy that is fast disappearing in so many countries. I just hope it never happens in my country, (UK) We are already in enough trouble without that as well. We have to be able to speak out, and be heard. If we aren't we become like those countries where the populace is under total control. I couldn't stand that. This is downright scary, Easy. (I think I remember your name is Lee). For me, the first stanza addresses the lack of faith anymore. Other stanzas made me think of the Supreme court overturning RoeVS Wade. That took us back to the dark ages. This certainly made women squirm. This is the best example I can think of citizens losing their will.

good end rhymes, and a thorough and deep understanding
of the seriousness of fascism and how it is encroaching in
many countries round the world. The USA has spiraled down
in the last few years into an unrecognizable country that it used
to be. So many 'things' that people took for granted now are gone
and may never return. A look back into history would reveal similar
years. It is a scary time in the world--esp in our own country-the USA.
