How many people have been walking down the street or railway tracks with earphones or earbuds? A car runs over them, or the train dragged them down the tracks. It is sad, the person who ran them over has to deal with the deaths for the rest of their life.
Or someone talking on a cell phone driving down the street. The one on the cell phone is to blame.
Many kids are not paying attention to the dangerous around them.

Virtual reality has some entertainment value, but the problem with it is...you can't feel the rain, smell the flowers, feel the heat of the sun. So no thanks to that! I love your poem, its really food for thought.

This is a fairly philosophical poem about living in virtual reality rather than living in real experience. In a way, it asks the question of a cost-benefit analysis of this type of experience.

Maybe it would hurt to relax into fantasy world occasionally as long as you didn't live there. I wonder it there would be a way to make you feel you had a three glasses of wine with out actually drinking and feel like you had a full meal without consuming calories. Maybe have the feeling of being on drug induced high without having to experience flashbacks. There might me a use to virtual reality.

Wow. It sounds so easy that people might go for it, especially the Americans. I can't imagine how fat they will become or the bodies are totally unnecessary. I personally like reality and like to visit real places like Paris, the Caribbean's, even Antarctica.

Maybe one day, then again maybe not. It is hard to think of what it would actually take to totally recreated all five senses we experience in reality, virtually. First you would have to eliminate, then recreated gravity. What the sense of smell?

Thanks for your interesting review and perspective of this subject. I don't think they want to create artificial sensations. I think they want to get you into the Metaverse and make money off of you. estory

The younger generation would think higher of the cartoon world, and being able to disappear into another reality would be therapeutic for them as well as healing and, in a more profound sense, would eliminate the need for drugs to escape their unwanted world. I don't mean to globalize the younger people with that phraseology, as the older generation also needs an escape. Nice work! Best, JohnC

It all fits the modern concept of the Roman Empire when it was dying, everything had gone hedonistic for the favoured ones, so the same for virtual reality, something to titillate the senses, it would be irresistible to humans, but it would be a good way of ensuring leaders stay where they are.
