Not yet exceptional. When the exceptional rating is reached this is highlighted

Your novel seems to be advancing slowly at the moment, and my gut feeling is that these discussions of sins and penance are becoming rebarbative. Here, I may be being dense, but it remains unclear to me why Brother Samuel was convoked into the presence of Prior Richard.

    Thank you for your review.He was late for prayer which was intolerable. It was viewed as disobedience so he had to stand all day at the entrance of the chapel. Then he had to go see the Prior when his penance was completed. There were actually worse punishments, such as beatings with a stick. It was quite a fear based environment.
