I think you have written a wonderful tribute to August based on his own work. It is a special idea that is very thoughtful and touching. I also find the picture intriguing. I am positive August would have loved everything you have posted here.

A great tribute to your friend. The stars have always held a fascination for me. On these clear cool autumn nights, I really enjoy lying outside on a blanket and trying to identify the different constellations.

The thing about stars for me, is that they are lovely to look at but much too far to ever touch, and like both poems point out, when they are gone you miss them so much. The death of one minimizes us all. Gone but not forgotten is a given. All the more so when the now deceased member left behind a treasure trove for us to gather and hold in reverence of their creative genius. RIP dear brother.

This poem is a tribute to another poem about the stars. This is high in the sky and most uplifting with words, rhyme, rhythm and stunning visual presentation.
It reminds me of a verse in the book of Psalms 147:4
He counts the number of the stars: He calls all of them by name.
