You did a great job with your contest entry. Ulla. I enjoyed reading it. You give readers much to think about with your unknown character and the twist at the end. I can see several applications of an ending to this--each one plausible, but one will never know which is right--just like the secret disappearance. Best wishes--a winner for me!

This is scary. I hope you meant it to be. The fact that this person just disappeared leaves me wondering. Did you kill him? Did he drown? Spreading the rumor about the water's edge leads to think he was murdered. Shivers!!!!!
