Hey Linda. Great to see you and with a fine poem too. You had me at, home is where you find your umbrella on a rainy day. That sets the tone beautifully.

A few lines of great wit in memories, of threatening your daughter's boyfriend and jelly prints on grandma's walls all add to a most image filled and personal memoir of some great times.

A most enjoyable read today. :)

Oddly enough I sheltered in place since March 2020 (still do) but in December both My Wife and I had to go to Emergency and Got the New Experimental Intravenous Drip Medications for Covid 19 due to testing positive. I think one of my Grown Kids my have gotten it at his Job. We have Our 6 bedroom home and My Grown Sons Are my Joint Owners and we also have 4 grandkids in home.
Thanks for Sharing your Poem. Blessings

This is so beautiful and I love how you go through different ages, different stages in life, all happening in the same home throughout your poem. Well done with your writing and I see no errors. God Bless.

This is a Beautifully written poem about home. Sums up perfectly there's no place like home. Home is where your children take their first steps say their first words ride their first bikes. So true. Very nicely done.

What a beautiful attitude, and one which I agree with wholeheartedly. Home is family, home is comfort, home is security but, most importantly, home is yours, and it's the one place you can always return to that will welcome you with open arms.

You've expressed this genuinely and honestly, and in a way that's very relatable. Tracing what home means through various stages in life gives your poem extra meaning. I enjoyed this very much.

There is a warmth in your words about home in every stage of life. It is a beautiful poem that reminds one that home is your safest harbor. Even as one ages, going home is always the goal.
Well done and a joy to read, well done rhyming and repeating to remind us of home.

Mary

Hello, I think that you wrote an amazing poem! It is very engaging. and it had me hooked from the beginning of it! My favorite line is "home is where your children take their first steps say their first words ride their first bikes" That line is so relatable because I can remember as a child learning to ride my first bike with training wheels. This is a great poem! Thank you for sharing!

The many experiences and nuances that are present as the years go by, do indeed happen at 'home'. So your poem is so on the mark when it lists all the steps we take and watch. A very thoughtful depiction of our life.
