Author this is a fine entry into the contest. Our breathing truly does affect our overall sense of well being or otherwise, and staying in the moment, while incredibly difficult to do, does keep one off that totally destructive rumination.

I love this short little poem. It says so much and quite beautifully too. Live in the moment and then you can breathe freely. Yes, that meets the requirement quite nicely. I wish you much success in this contest. I see no way to improve on this. MM

Great poem for the enlightenment competition, I love the image of the silent woods and the message which is powerful to live in the now and enjoy, it is the only way to feel free.

So true. What a simple message in your poem. Why is it hard to stay in the present moment? Focusing on breathing is given as the method to stay in the present. Breathing freely as you say.
