deepwater,

very strong writing, my friend. Excellent descriptives throughout provide the reader with great imagery, while the smoothness of the flow is terrific. Great work.

Wow, this was a lovely piece about a man caught in a bad storm, who lost his boat and then lost his life?? I am a little unsure of the end. For a minute I thought you had been rescued by sailors but on reading a second time I see you are at rest in this place so I am assuming the worst. Either way this was a compelling and quite confronting read. I knew once the boat went down things weren't going so well for you.
Cheers for a well penned and thoughtfully constructed piece full of danger on the high seas.
My fave bit was "but no place to run as times on her side"
A lovely write and thanks for sharing your talent.

Wow, this poem made me feel sick in the stomach. This is a compliment because I hate deep water, cannot swim and a close relative works on the water. Your poem has confirmed in my mind that being on a ship/boat is the last place I wanna be! Well done, thoroughly enjoyed the roller coaster ride of emotions from the comfort of my armchair on solid ground!

I'm not afraid of much, but I have a deep respect, even fear of the power of the ocean. Another great poem, GW. It's a pleasure to read.

Excellent work. Your descriptive lines held me rapt in attention. What an ending; it's reminiscent of the movie "Titanic" where the characters are joined in an eternal celebration under the sea. Congratulations.

I enjoyed this - your words setting
the scene of the storm and the rigging
on the ship/boat - and the lashing of
the sea - great stuff.

You capture the tension and fear well--your poem seems autobiographical. I especially liked your rhymes and metaphors "mountain," "monster" and "grave."

Well done GW, another fine write. Where does all your poetry ideas come from? not whilst your perched on your tracter I hope LOL. The image and poem do each other justice.
You seem to be doing really well at this poetry lark, keep up the great work and have a fine day, Rudy.
