Just this afternoon I was talking to my wife about our garden and how it changed dramatically because of one profuse rain. I like to think your "magic wizards" we're at work, Brooke.
Like how we experience the showers as they increase and then end. Fun toseewhat the worms and then the dandelions appear. A delightful poem young readers would love. I did! Rod

Hi Brooke,

Good poem and nice presentation for the contest.

I'm not sure why it is that all one has to do is mention rain, and automatically one feels peace and tranquility. Hmmmm?

Enjoyed the read. Nicely done.

Good luck in the contest.

Cheers & Blessings
Keep Smilin'.... Jax (*-*)

Hi Brooke - Nine great stanzas that should make any child smile - especially Sawyer. I think you have him in mind when you write these poems. Good rhyming couplets throughout and a thoroughly good read. Good Luck in the contest. Regards Dorothy x

Ah! I thought so. Regarding our last 'talk; I need to mention that no matter how many grandchildren you have and love the first always holds a special place in your heart. That's what I have found. D x

I think I will use this delightful and fun poem to play a numbers game with my grandson. Poor kid hasn't seen rain in a long time. But we do have weeds!!! Love your write.

Yesterday (I know this well)
worms were here while raindrops fell.
Now there's gold and they are gone --
wizards surely made this lawn.
This is PRECIOUS......Brooke
I loved it
God bless

I love your take on when children smile, another delightful gem, these would be great for children in children's books Brooke, your rhyming and rhythmic meter were great, it was wonderful to read and recite, is pleasure, yet again, blessings, Roy.

This is a great poem for little children learning their numbers. Kids love rhyming poems because they can learn them and repeat them by heart. I think this one will work well for that. Nice work, Brooke.

Rain is Falling is another outstanding and perfectly written set of rhyming quatrains. Bravo! Good timing too as some places have been seeing lots of rain. Perfect all the way through.
