Nice poem Brooke. It rhymes well throughout the stanza and as such is fluent to read. Adorable picture of Sawyer also.
Kind regards
Sarah

This is very sweet when you have an adorable picture with a half smile, and it is a nice thought to remember to use the other half. Boy oh Boy, you are the best wordsmith ever!

Another beautiful foray into that
place where no matter how gray
the day, your words which glide
down the screen like that half-smile
from Sawyer, sets the sky blue with
a warmth that is felt everywhere.
Your commentary speaks elegantly
of the power of a simple smile one
the rewards that come from just a
single, simple gesture.
Well done

But a half of a smile is a smirk, which are entirely necessary in ironic moments. I guess instead of putting on the brights, sometimes something a little dimmer so as not to blind the drivers. He still has a cute half smile.

Dear Brooke, this smile is definitely capable of melting hearts. Great writing, nice images with great rhyme. I enjoyed it - you seem to open the field some with you messages and wisdom. Cutie Pie definitely sweet in this shot.
Thanks for sharing it.

Thank you so much, Maureen. His mom's latest video shows him offering Potato some of his breakfast on a spoon - the best part of the video besides his wild giggling is the snot pouring from his nose, and I mean gushing. LOL Cutie Pie has his first ever cold. How can something as gross as snot be cute, but with him it is. LOL Brooke

ah poor thing - first colds can be nasty....but he is still smiling:)

I like your poems with 3+ syllable names in them, like Ezekial, and Leander. They're fun to pronounce, and add a touch of pleasure to the poetry.
That is a beautiful smile on Sawyer's face. I'm sure the world would brighten immensely if he showed his teeth as well. (We'd need some pretty high-powered sunglasses.

Charming poem, Brooke. Knockout photograph. You are very fortunate to have such a wonderful family (but I guess you kind of know that!)

I can see why you love that half-smile - melts your heart.
Cute poem with great rhyme and meter about a smile
that can light up the world of those around him.
