Great quatrain with a very true message. I read and viewed the wonderful image while thinking our life's journey begins with 'baby steps". How appropriate it is to be represented by a child's footprints. Rubylou

Hi. Too true. To be on a journey, we gotta start and those steps gotta keep going. I like the picutre:-)
My fav lines are the last two...they will keep rebounding in my mind for a while.

Nicely put, as Confucius is purported to have said, a journey of a thousand miles begins with the first step. Nothing is ever accomplished without taking that step.

I really like this one and I like the rhyme scheme too...it's a little different than you usual (not that I am implying you have no imagination...heavens no!) I especially like these two lines:
