Such a beautiful rhyming poem for Maureen that shows a candle lit to help with her brave struggle & hopefully, her recovery...Though, too, may she follow the light wherever it leads her to be at peace.

Brooke, you are the best modern poet I've ever read. Just when I thought you couldn't possibly top yourself, you pen this; This is so beautifully crafted, and rhymed, it nearly brings a tear. God bless you.

Hi, Brooke...
What a lovely dedication to Maureen. Such a sad time knowing she is so ill and fighting for her life.

A very well-penned poem for our shining star, Maureen. Beautifully worded and from the heart. I love the symbolism of the candle and am on my way to light one now. A truly beautiful write, my friend~Debbie

Wonderful art work and words written here.
I really loved the message given within the words written.
Our heart knows and understands many happenings
within life that can also be very sad.

Sort of a flickering whisper.

You are most welcome, Brooke. How is she doing? Is there an update? Wouldn't it be glorious? Praise God!

This is a heartfelt tribute to one you obviously think highly of. I recognize the name but do not know her well. I also don't know what has happened.

Can you say what happened with her?
-
She has been fighting throat cancer for many years while also fighting progressive MS - she has been in a coma for the past couple of weeks. Her family is keeping vigil. She is a beloved friend of many on Fan Story.
-
That is a lot for her family to deal with. I guess at this point she is beyond knowing what is happening.

Brooke;
A wonderfully written poem is a tribute to Maureen Napier whose thoughts from us, when in all, Are with her always during these uneasy times.
Following I will explicate my review:
The genre: the poem was written in the act, the grand format and it is a narrative elegy and epistle With a purpose of writing a poem that is close to the hearts of all and especially for and in the heart of Maureen.
The thesis is one of an enlightening, inspirational And very emotional perspective on hope, faith and the desire for life.
The imagery has the use of metaphors and a symbolic use of similes wrapped into a demonstratively descriptive and eloquently expressive visual aspects: "When candle's lit to lead the fight as doubt is spurned. One flame can penetrate the night--the lesson learned." This spiritual metaphor and narrative piece of writing shows that there is hope and faith in all things.
Thank you so much for sharing and posting this for everyone to read and may the good Lord be with you Brooke
as well as Maureen.
