Oh, Brooke, this one is just too cute! Sawyer seems really interested in bugs and insects. When my son was young, he used to go to an entomology festival each year and sample the tasty treats made with insects (yuck--couldn't bring myself to try any). Have a great afternoon, my friend~Debbie

LOL Thanks so much, Debbie - Sawyer is a "selective" eater - he won't even eat chicken yet! I think the bugs are safe :-) Brooke

Sweet poem!! I love it!! Reminded me of a simpliar time, when the only questions were the ones with easier answers. Perfect rhyming scheme.

Oh, this is so, so cute. Of course roly poly bugs roll up, otherwise they'd be called do nothing bugs...right? Very clever, excellent rhyme and a terrific subject to write about. You really know how to get into a child's head. Very nice work with this one, as always.

So cute. I used to play with 'roly-polys'when I was a kid. This poem is well done and very rhythmic. I enjoyed the trip back to childhood that it gave me.Great job!

Well this one is too much fun. Perfect pacing, the rhyming cadence is evenly balanced, the subject matter is delightful for a child . . . Well done as usual.

Till the last amen

I love the name, and well suited. Roly Poly bugs. I have to admit to being a cruel little girl, I would touch them so they would roll up into a ball, and then flick the with my finger to see how far the would roll! I will never get to heaven now! I loved your poem, Brooke even though it brought back a naughty memory!! :) Sandra

I think God has long since forgiven you, though if insects ever take over the world, you might be in trouble. LOL :-) Thanks so much, Sandra :-) Brooke

Learning how to handle little creatures like that is important besides the fun aspect. Funnily enough, I had never heard them called that, we call them inch worms, I think! Cute rhyming poem which teaches kids the ins and outs of the insect world. Well chosen rhymes and words. Most enjoyable as always. Faye

Thanks so much, Nancy - I always feel so sad to learn not everyone has lightning bugs, and now roly polys too? Thank you so much, my friend :-) Brooke

To tell the truth there are no interesting bugs in Nevada. None at all. Well, maybe butterflys.

a state devoid of interesting bugs - now that is a mournful state of affairs...
