These rhyming quatrains portray something akin to an earthly Paradise created with the exquisite image of 'Kaleidoscopes of butterflies'-potential bliss - and a superb pic

This is a very pretty picture. I love the message. Kaleidoscopes of butterflies, above a field of gold. We have wheat and we see the gold around this time of year, and often the butterflies too.

I think that Jesus will precede whatever comes to earth, but I guess all things of Beauty will follow, so if butterflies head the parade then for you, it will be butterflies, but I guess in our imaginations we perceive heaven in different ways! Nice small poem, with abcb rhyming and even meter, well done, blessings, Roy.

Roy, thank you. Yes, I'm sure there are hundreds of variations on what people imagine Heaven to be like. Brooke

I loved your poem Brooke, I did not know that a kaleidoscope was a group of butterflies. I love butterflies, and a kaleidoscope was something as a child always fascinated me.
Wonderful rhyming quatrains.

Well written
Well done

Oh Brooke, this is so beautiful. Music to my ears. Those butterflies are just perfect on the sunflower. I found your words most compelling, and I want to read it out loud.

I only wish I had a six for this!

Kaleidoscopes of butterflies
above a field of gold --
I wonder if they'd call on me
and that's what I'd behold.

This is a keeper.

Brooke,
Kaleidoscopes of butterflies sound wonderful to me. I'm pretty sure we've all had glimpses of heaven. LOL Only they get snatched back just as quick. Imagery is awesome.
Love,
Barbara

Good grief, Brooke! I am writing a poem as we speak about a rat and a kaleidoscopic butterfly. I suppose it's true, great minds do think alike!? Look for it in a post near you! Thanks God you didn't mention the word daffodils...

A wonderfully written poem, Brooke, in every way imaginable. I only hope mine is a good.

Dean, that often used to happen to me when Margaret was writing more poetry - we'd both write about taffeta or robins or swinging fence doors or whatever on the same day :-) Thanks so much :-) Brooke

That's really weird. I began reading this and said, "What!?" LOL...

I'd just been working on it before I read this. You're not hiding here somewhere, are you Brooke? Hee-hee.

What a gentle poem this is. Full of beauty and softness. I loved the idea of a kaleidoscope of one of God's beautiful creatures. Well written with a positive image.

What a lovely poem, Brooke, butterflies are a favorite of mine, butterflies and owls. I have pictures of them indoors and china butterfles in the garden. If Heaven ever did visit Earth, I'll be standing there beside you. This is a lovely poem, beautifully presented. xsx Sandra
