I liked this still life very much You could close your eyes and see the grapes on the plate. I could just reach out and eat one, but I preferred to leave them to be crushed into wine. A glass of cold sauvignon blanc hits the spot. Nice touch of alliteration with' white Wedgewood' and 'green / grapes'. Very enjoyable read. xxmouse

I liked this still life very much You could close your eyes and see the grapes on the plate. I could just reach out and eat one, but I preferred to leave them to be crushed into wine. Many poets on FanStory would have been tempted to include an appropriate illustration with their poetry. I take it from your author's notes you are seeking perfection - in grape, bone china and wine. And of course, the perfect picture is the one you have painted in our minds.

This tiny 5/7/5 poem is a classic.
Many poets on FanStory would have been tempted to include an appropriate illustration with their poetry. I take it from your author's notes you are seeking perfection - in grape, bone china and wine. And of course, the perfect picture is the one you have painted in our minds.
