Brooke, I hope you don't tire of my saying how much I love your ability to put so much in words about the ways of the world and overcoming and simply enjoying them. But, this is another one, I simply love. Loren

Brooke;
In this short formattable format. It is recognizable that the rhyming is neither forced nor labored and helps with the rhythmic flow. And being written very well. The imagery is very descriptive as well as eloquently expressive throughout the writing. It describes the leaping form of Sawyer by giving up all his unintentional behavior in going for it. Literally jumping into the action.
Thank you for sharing and posting this for everyone to read and may the good Lord be with Sawyer in you always.

There is so much in these few lines. Yes, sometimes life requires a leap of faith, the ability to gather your courage and take a risk. Sometimes we forget that. Well said.

I believe he's practicing for the Olympics. He should be ready by the time he's old enough..
I've heard of the epigram before but forgot the rules for it and FanStory doesn't even recognize it as poetry. I reckon it's time to let my fingers do the walking...
Well done as always, Buck

Thanks so much, Buck - it's a short, pithy statement which doesn't have to rhyme - not much in the way of rules :-) Brooke

Sometimes it is the only way. When there seems to be no other way to overcome the obstacles you just have to leap over. I know the poem is to reflect the lovely picture, but I got a deeper meaning from this. Loved it.

Reaching that goal! If it's a good one, a vital one, then yes, LEAP FOR IT! You've counted the cost, you've analyzed things to death...WHEN will you just take a risk?? Not saying kill yourself for it, but sometimes, as we know, we just got to...!

Wow, look at the Cute Little One go. Yes, sometimes there is no other option than to close your eyes and leap. Eh, ok, maybe you should leap with your eyes open :) Another great poem.

That's a great camera to capture action like that. Great message in this poem. It reminds me of the 'Leap of Faith'. People are always talking about.

Hi Brooke - A short and witty epigram. Oscar Wilde was known to be very good at epigrams. A good accompanying picture - Sawyer surely does have a lot of fun. Warm regards Dorothy x
