Outstanding entry for this contest, dear B. Apt storytelling style with a bouncy beat adn fine rhyming suits the children's poem well. Sounds super read aloud. Great message too. Good poetic devices crafted in, as usual! Favorite stanza, both for the meaning and for the alliteration of G and consonance of S:
Grandpa says they grew from seeds,
and the gold is really weeds.
Grandma says he's just too old --
she thinks wizards made the gold.
A sure contender in the contest.
Bravo and good luck.

Please don't be angry with me, but I look at this poem as children's book gold, multiple sales. What a wonderful work this is. This work contains all the elements of what makes a successful work.
