Haha! I don't think there's anything wrong with a hefty amount of paranoia, but I don't see what that has to do with anyone who'd be dumb enough to leave jewelry in the street. :)

the title of the story caught my attention

every time purchase something through credit cards
or even when we use cash many stores have us use their store card to scan so management knows what is being sold

What is that old saying? I think it is "An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure." I think that is what you are trying to tell us with this piece. Good advice. I don't have to worry about hiding my gold, as I have none, but I do the best I can to protect the people I love, as they are my best treasure on earth. Thanks for the wisdom.

This piece started out like it was the government that you need to keep in your watch. But then this just seems to be about paranoia. You have two run on sentences in this piece, which detracts from it. I also don't understand what the line means. Don't keep your gold jewelry on the road.
This for me is rather confusing to it's over all meaning. Except for being paranoid. I think you need to think about what you've presented here and make some adjustments for it... John
