You did a good job setting the mood with your setting. I do like your play on words. That is one of my literary techniques. You also did a good job with the graphic imagery. Well done.

This is a horror deluxe entry for the 100 Word Horror writing prompt. It should do well in the contest. I wish you the best of good luck!

I loved the essence of this poem and it is terrifying and also has some humour too. I would suggest the last line read: "my darling cat had (caught) a rat" for the sake of meter. I thought this write was inventive and full of promise and for this reason I will give you my vote, love Dolly x

This one-hundred-word horror poem, The Wailing Banshee, has the necessary word count and leads the reader from the supernatural to the super sickening squashed rat. Gahh!

I have had mine do that a time or two. I think it is funny how that is them showing us respect and favor. If only they knew how gross it was.

Good luck.

A very well-written hundred word horror flash fiction. The built up to the end was tense and made the gross ending even preferable to a more sinister ending.

This horror and thriller poem speaks the story of a wailing Banshee, a female spirit, who has done a mischief mysteriously; well said, well done; thanks for sharing this. ALCREATOR

I think this is a very good entry for the 100 word horror competition. I like the image you created here, the nasty little rat delivered by the cat is very creepy. Thanks for sharing this and have yourself a really great day
