This becomes a cautionary tale. It is also a bit of a tragicomedy. I can't seeing this successfully occurring on any grand scale. What parent wants to play russian roulette with their child? You have good use of onomatopoeia. I'm certainly thankful I'm not teaching anymore.

I'm glad I am no longer a superintendent. Thanks for the read and the comments. No only playing Russian roulette with their child, but with the whole family.

Great statement in short order on the state of things today. Personally, If my son was of school age today there is no way I would send him back to school. Home schooling would trump that

Could not agree with you more and I was a school superintendent. Too much danger not only to the children but to other adults at school and at home. Thanks for the read and review.

Wonder what they'll learn in biology...? ;) ;) This is an awesome offering for the 3-5-7 prompt - thanx so much for sharing and best of luck to you at the polls! ;)

Hope they learn the reasons masks are needed. Thanks for the read and review.

Um... do we want to hear them sing or chatter all day long in the classroom? Them being masked and quieter may be a blessing in disguise or teachers and learning.
An apt poem, since the question of them returning to the classroom is forefront on many parents mind.

Thanks for your read and review. Simply a sad situation for students, teachers, staff and parents.

Phew, how sadly current and disturbing. Singing is so important today when there is so little joy. Not being able to see people smile back to my masked smile is so sad to me. Pray this too will pass quickly. Be blessed, Jude
