There are others bulls that require evading. A herd of them have a thirst to do harm. It is as if they see red. They are the real mentally ill.

Mental health of any kind can be a hard thing to talk about when it's us. I have PTSD and I'm sure depression from time to time. I'm glad you're on this site and able to talk about it. This is a safe place and I don't know what I'd do without this site because this is my safety from the world. I won't say I can relate or I know what it's like to go through what you do but I'm always here if ya need to talk

Thanks, E. Because of the honesty and wholesomeness I grasp, you and others humble me with your offers of support. Believe me, after thirty-two years of battling people more than the condition, it comforts me that good people still exist. Not to mention, I identify more with people who are self-reliance. The is the only thing about me that did not change even after the doping of my food and drink in San Francisco which lead to a life of medication. I'm fine surrounded by good people with good intentions.

I'm glad you have good people in your life. Sadly, some just don't understand unless they've been thru mental illness themselves.

Now, that is so true.

A glimpse into the mind of a gripping illness, one I am very familiar with from my long-time friendship with a man whom I've known before and after diagnosis. Hallucinations are as real to him as waking up in the morning, to the point where I started to believe that perhaps Schizophrenics have a glimpse into a dimension we can't see. Thank you for sharing this story, excellent read.

It's sound as if your friend is a little unstable. I've had to cope with individuals who Hallucinates, and we are poles apart in our functioning. It sounds that he still has issues. My problem started as a food and drink doping by an occult group. Medication helped me from having any problems. Yes, I would think your friend meds need adjusting.

I don't really understand this but it was interesting nonetheless.
I needed medication since 1986 <-- should say I HAVE needed...
They are a hodgepodge so; I triumphed. <-- incorrect use of semi-colon. This is how it should be written: They are a hodgepodge, so I triumphed.
"We met many times." <--We HAVE met many times.

I really appreciate the corrections, Phyllis. I need to pay more attention to the subject-verb problem, which is probably one of several. Thanks, Phyllis.

But I contribute my mental condition to weeding out unsuitable people. I've limited patience with Haters.
Every one should do this. Haters are toxic.
The Friend was definitely an unsuitable person. You handled the situation well.

Nice story. I like the way it flows, and the characters are interesting. I like the style choice of not giving them real names. Thanks for sharing this and have yourself a really great day

Yes, it is a very precarious situation to say the very least, and, although I am not that way with that illness, I can imagine what it's like for I have seen many gullible people fall victim to vultures of that type. I did not see any errors. Thanks for sharing and have a wonderful week.

This unnerved me for you.
In my life the only truly trustworthy person is God and His Savior Son.
When you get a relationship with God the other heartaches dissolve away. God and Christ and Holy Spirit who gives us the Word are reliable
God bless you...keep writing you are brave

It must be hard navigating this world with this condition and I sympathise. It's hard enough in life to route out those people who are genuine and mean you no harm, but to do it when you are slightly impaired must be almost impossible. Your write is interesting, showing the confusion felt in some circumstances where you want to be friends, but you are unsure of the person's honesty, love Dolly x

Everyone adapts to their circumstances. The real problem is no realistic public advocacy and understanding, entitling nefarious individuals to avail themselves on them, using the public's naive understanding of this weak and defenseless class by embellishing stories against them for gain. The average mentally challenged person (which outnumber the bad one) function at a high level. It's only when certain people learn this individual or that individual has the weakness ( which has a horrible image because of selective incidents) the problem starts. My life is no different than the average person. Financial barriers to advancement present the biggest problem since my 30's. I'm turning 67 in November. I'm placed with a certain group, so I deal with it legally. Many turn to crime, many are misled by a bad influence, and other wander and drift their life away.

Hello pbomar1115
I like your title The Cat's out of the Bag
and spoke up of the difficulty to meet people that don't understand as you said in your last lines
carrying a "Brand" is not the poorer of my experiences. I'd reached a stronger grade of favor to show who I am. I got up and left.
I going to Post a poem about Hate
The title will be No Need for Hate.
