I must have missed this post while traveling--the colors and artwork you selected certainly caught my eye as I rummaged through your portfolio today. I admired your reflections about choices and your rhymed quatrains, along with your wise advice. Smiles- Joan

Nicely done. I do believe your words. The choices we make as we travel through life determine our future. These lines are excellent:
"The choices that you make today,
cannot be changed, they're here to stay.
They'll follow you throughout your life.
May cause your loved ones pain and strife."

Excellent artwork that complements your poem perfectly. It is about choices you make in life, that can't be changed. It rhymes all the way and flows very well. I liked the colours.

A nicely written and well rhymed poem Fionageorge about the choices we make through life and the far-reaching consequences.
The flame of love lives in your soul - an uplifting line for the finishing couplet. Nicely done

This is a powerful poem with a great message, Marijke. The rhyme feels natural and the flow is excellent. Mostly, though, I really liked your message.

Will cause (or may cause your loved ones pain and strife. Only because nothing is set in concrete and life choices can change rapidly. Good warning within your words. Beautiful illustration to compliment your poem. Blessings, K.

Hi Kay, you are right of course... I was sort of writing this to someone specific in mind, and the pain he has caused his loved ones. But, may is appropriate in this, and I have changed. Thanks for the pick up and the warm and kind review. Warmest regards, Marijke :o)

I bet you have the fire going and winter woollies on? We had three inches of rain over the weekend. Love, Kay.
-
Heater, no fire place - could be a bit dangerous! We had 3 years if draught... then the floods ... and I think you're sending the left over rains down here. It is looking a bit ominous! 3 inches... you'd think those clouds would be all rained out! LOL! :o) Marijke

And for Queensland, it has actually turned cold! We never use heaters, only blankets. LOL.

Wow, Jackie, thank you so much. Funny how some of these poems just happen. I think it was our discussion re sons that brought this to life... Thank you for your generous comments and very generous six stars.
