You gave me goose bumps with this dark brooding free verse poem that carries malicious intent through those eyes. You painted the mood through the picture to the verse exquisitely, then took it to the next level.

This is a very dark poem. I like your use of rhyme in this free verse which is very well written but oh, so sad. I know, I write a lot of dark poems, especially lately it seems~Debbie

A dark poem, those dark eyes watching and waiting for the proverbial moment for them to strike. An enjoyable read.
Well done.
Meanwhile,
those dark eyes watch,
from beneath the black.
No tears they show,
they just wait.

I love this dark poem. Sounds somewhat sinister.
So well written, this one. If I'm right the river Styx was one of the rivers in the Greek mythology that separated the upper world from the underworld. A pleasure to read and well expressed. Great one!! Fia

You described very deeply those eyes waiting and waiting, a tragedy to happen, a soul that accompany them. I can feel them watching me from somewhere and gives me chills. I love your poem.

Yikes, a scarey group to greet the day! Sounds so sinister! A very haunting feel with an eerie art selection as well. You do it all so well............

In addition to your excellent poetry, I also look forward to finding out what picture you choose to complement them. As usual, this is a striking package. Very mysterious and memorable.
