I thought that this was a really well written story. I like how you kept describing various things that the character missed from earth, and comparing those memories to where she is now. The only thing I would suggest is that you go back through and take care of punctuation. I spotted several mistakes in that area, but I still thought overall that the story was worth five stars. Good luck!

You really got in the head of the Grandmother who is facing the last part of her life in an alien environment with so many questions about her past and the future of her family. Best of luck in the contest.

What a thought-provoking short story. The telling of it is on par with wondering what is happening and what will happen on the planet Earth. Gives us all something to think about.

Wow! This is a wonderful story and deserving of a six, but I'm out of them. It looks to me like you have winner here. I hope you do.
I like the questions you raised. It seems to me like this lady has been there a while but is still having trouble adapting.
I'd like to see this story continued. Good luck in the contest.

This will someday happen, the world will become uninhabitable, especially when the sun fades as it does have a lifespan. It will take about 8 billion years before this happens and humans will have found another planet to inhabit with its own sun and moon. I enjoyed your inventive write with a lot of truth behind these words Zanya, love Dolly x

This is an excellent story of how many of us would feel about having to leave this planet and go somewhere elwe in order for life to continue. I'm not intot science fiction but I think you story of what it might b4 like makes sense. I think most of us would find it frightening to be somewhere in spact trying to adapt. Good luck in the contest.

This first-person monologue is long on analysis but short on wow. What has befallen this Granma/Moonma would be full of thrilling details and startling descriptions. Without surprise, this piece reads like a solemn letter home from a relative far away. The thematic basis of a damaged Earth is of course important, but these points are made over and over again in both documentary and op/ed writing. Imaginative details could put more oomph into this package.

Sadly, today it seems that many are trying to escape the dysfunction that's going on on planet earth. They tried to escape it by denying that it is happening. Are they try to escape it by throwing money at it. Neither one is the answer I don't think I think that it comes down to the fact that we need to trust God and his wisdom. Patricia.
