You created a strong message about the environmental pollution that pervades our society. You paired a good photograph to reinforce your verse.
I do like your first line phrase.

Excellent entry for the. Haiku Poetry contest.
Good syllables count and connection between lines with great presentation and imagery. It flows well with descriptive words that paint a clear mental picture.
Good luck in the contest.

Sad, but true. Humans have done the most damage to this planet of ours. And most will still ignore the consequences of their carelessness. Your haiku is on point.

This haiku, Angry Tidal Seas, presented as a 5-6-4, shows the readers the results of mankind's unnecessary waste come back to plague others.

Your contest entry highlights the sad state of the
me, me, me society. Your words are well chosen
and create great imagery. Great job with the style
of haiku. Mankind has polluted, and continues to
pollute the life out of our oceans. Will this ever
change?
Best wishes in the contest, Jan

This is gross. The people who throw out garbage should be ashamed of themselves. This is terrible. There is no sense in this happening. Thank you for the awareness. Have a great day.

You are welcome.

How SADLY true. We live a beach in southern California that is considered a reserve so the beach is wild or true to it's nature. Yet, there's always that piece of "crap" You found an amazing picture to provide a vivid picture. The set up on this is haiku very traditional, which I find refreshing. Lovely

These few syllables are really powerfully used. The theme of mankind's negligence of nature--often beyond just negligence--is well conveyed, and the photo adds a real punch!

Yes. This is so true. Angry nature shows us our human disgrace. When a storm washes in all the debris that humankind creates nature tells us in no uncertain terms that we have blown it big time!
This is a very telling Haiku. A warning to all of us what we have done to help create what is known as Climate Change.
Thanks for the warning!

Comment from John Ciarmello
I'm far from naive to the destruction man has placed upon this earth, but I would have never thought there could be a place like this. A place neglected and accepted so readily. This is an awareness piece and an image I will remember for a long time. Your words ring true and only extenuate man's destruction and nature's wrath of retaliation. Well done, my friend, kahpot!
