This is an inspiring essay about how you handled life during the pandemic. It is well written and I love the details and examples you talked about in your story. If I may, I noticed a few things you might look at for modification:

- it's should be is
I chose you my life with the bad, the good, and the ...
- maybe you could change the word "you "too... "To live my life "
You switch back and forth between the word "chose "and "choose "and I recommend that you pick one of them and stick with it all the way through your story.

I like the message that you put in your first line:
"I choose to live even if I'm scared of the unknown. I went through a lot, but compared with others I had a beautiful life."
We know that others are going through a lot more pain.

I love your optimism. Thank you for sharing that you made a choice to not let the circumstances of the past year, keep you from enjoying life to its fullest. I think the year has been good for us in so many ways, especially to take one day at a time, trusting the Lord to guide us and keep us.

So right you are. We have to go on living regardless of COVID or whatever other adversity we might be facing. I hope it will be possible to get back to normal, and soon. I'm glad you found joy in swimming, and people certainly deserve a break from the circumstances in which we've been forced to live. I especially love your last paragraph. In your seventh paragraph, I think it would be better to use Covid is a test of endurance. Good luck in the contest! judi

You are so right that even with social distancing, there are still lots of things we can do and places we can go and. It just sit in the house and mope. Good for you for being you!

We all had choices to make last year because of the virus and consequent lockdown. We learnt to get to know each other again, as well as get to know ourselves. I think this was a test, some passed, some failed. But at the end of it, if our faith is strong, we will come out the other side much better people.
