This work has reached the exceptional level
A poem written by my 9-year-old granddaughter

Ode to RBG

Ruth Bader Ginsburg was a beacon of hope
She made her way up life's slope
She fought for justice and equality
May she be remembered for eternity
Her will was strong and her words shone true
For the shattered pieces of justice, Ruth was our glue
She spoke with words so brave and bold
She was an inspiration for us all, young and old
The fire she started burns ever so bright
Thanks to her our future is flooded with light
Though she's gone she's still a guiding star
Encouraging our dreams to reach far
Rest in peace, RBG
We'll continue your quest to set the people free

My granddaughter, Fatima Mohammed, internalizes almost everything in the form of poetry. She resorts to poetry to cope with sad events and also to provide an ember of hope. She is a published poet.
