I think I said it all in title.

A Shine on Us All

by victortouche

A wall of flesh and blood.
Aren't they all,
in the end?

War.
Riots.
Social unrest.

Come from
a very basic
misunderstanding.

Governments
go to war.

People,
under governments,
kill each other,
when...they all want the same
damn thing.

Peace.
Equality.
Safety.
Food.
Warmth.
Family.

A shovel.
Perhaps,
we should all
try one again.

A shine on my shovel,
an' children at my feet.

Could you put
a shine on my shovel,
watchin' nature bend
for me?

Said,
put a shine on my shovel
and sweat on my breast.

Let the Lord
bring a shine
on my hovel,

and keep
my brother
well.

A shine on
my village,
a little
on the knoll.

Where I sit
with my children
and love

towards us all.

Well, I had to add my two cents.
Painting is one I did very early on.
For some reason, my daughter likes it.

People, I may not say it well enough,
but we got to love our brothers.

They ALL we got.

I did write a poem before using
"put a shine on my shovel."

I have played with this so many times.
I really think I could turn it into a
Gospel song, but, you know...
we all have dreams.
Pays one point and 2 member cents.
