Of all the songs you ever hear,
today, or even yesteryear;
The words you heard played a large part
and were the things that grabbed your heart.

The poet truly runs the show
and with his words makes beauty grow.
Tune and arrangement must be there,
to give the song a special flair.

And when we sing it, loud and clear,
the depth within these words appear.
I think, by now you must agree,
the best is rhyming poetry.

So, clear your voice and sing along-
And thank the poet who wrote the song.
