The Information Age expanding
Isn't it divine?

Just boggles up
My mind

You can access
Anything
Anywhere
At anytime

Grateful I was
23 in 1969
Spent many hours
Out of doors
Enjoying peace of mind

Those days were
Nice and simple then...
When writing words
I used a pen

Friends would
Call you on the phone
And be there
When you felt alone

No excessive
Communication
Complicating
Situations

Inciting and Inviting
Confusion and delusion

Facebook, Google, Instagram
Just to name a few

Can't keep up...
Don't want to
I've got better things to do

When staring at
The screen today
Not liking all I learn

My brain reacts
I'm not relaxed
My eyes they
Start to burn

Some of what
I read is true...
Some is
Downright fiction

As far as human
Nature goes
Some call this
An addiction

Do I really
Need to know
The horrors going on?

To watch how many
People died
Catastrophes
That multiplied

My Psychophysiology
Not adapting very well
If failing to find balance
Brain and body
Turn to gel

I could stay
And type much more
Go on and on and on

But got to rush
Complete this poem
And then dash
Out the door!
