Grandpa's Rings

by DragonSkulls

What memories my mind creates
that age too often brings.
Like memories of childhood's past
and grandpa's nipple rings.

The neighbor kids, they had it made
with trees and tire swings.
I remember Sister's glee
on grandpa's nipple rings.

He'd read us stories long ago
of dragons, knights and kings.
In every quest the hero wore
a cloak and nipple rings.

He told me once that life is short
and made of just three things,
like special friends and precious love
and giant nipple rings.

His passing at age eighty-five
still bears the slightest stings.
His only wish, "Please bury me
with these dear nipple rings."

I'm sure he walks the streets of gold
where every angel sings.
They'll flop and slap eternally...
my grandpa's nipple rings.
