Exceptional
This work has reached the exceptional level
My days become probing.

A chapter in the book A Silent Cry

Who?

by Marjon van Bruggen

Caring for him and
living with him means loneliness
yesterday full
today so empty.
Hopefully I search his eyes:
does he see ME?
Someone else?
Or maybe nothing?

He won't tell
not even his eyes
betray.
Who is he?

Recognized

More and more loneliness. I won't show it to him, he can't help it. I am sure there are moments that he, too, feels desperate. So I try to be cheerful. (I write all this now in the present tense, but it all is history.)
