An incredible but doomed affair

You and I

an asteroid wobbling in orbit
from the vacuum of solo souls
you arch toward me

fall into the well,
burn, gouge then dissolve
I am plunged in fire and burn too.

I know it shouldn't be, but it is. I know it is not wise, but it is inevitable, I know I will suffer, but I can't stop it.
The weird poem is a dream of this doomed but all-consuming love.
