Coffee Black No Guilt, Please

by RodG

I looked forward to having coffee with old pals at Coffee Cafe until Corona came along. Carla kept CC open by selling her brew curb-side. I should have helped her out, but stayed home.

When it was safe again, I raced to CC. My pals were there, but not Carla.

"Where is she?" I asked.

"She went bankrupt," a young woman said. "The virus got Gramps. I bought the Cafe with what he left me."
