My Faith

Born into a life where I was to learn to have complete
trust or confidence in someone or something I did not.
I sought what could not be; faith in nurturing parents.

My faith would not magically evolve into trusting
my home would be busting open, a safe shelter,
to be well-fed, clothed, loved, to know God.

In time, I developed a strong confidence in philia,
the memorabilia bound by building a firm foundation,
where my faith evolved, revolved around teachers, mentors,
coaches; Faith that people had my back, not yet God.

Manhood brought me face to face - with someone -
smack dab at the foot of His Grace, put in my place!
I clung to something called God, over time my
"agape knowing," there is the love of God for man
and of man for God, Grace of God rebirthing, made whole!

Which was then planted and sprouted , grown over time
near and far spaces and then spacious a conviction
God sent His Son, to take on the sins of humankind
so even I could enter into his kingdom, with Grace.

To arrive today with the deep, in my soul, my
goal to maintain complete trust or confidence in
someone or something I desire to know,

Called my God, this Credence, which is my
belief with little impedance is something true, My God.
