Exceptional
This work has reached the exceptional level
Two of my dearest friends

Golden Anniversary Remembrance

Long years ago, too long to count,
this couple moved nearby.
The wife sure was a beauty,
the husband quite a guy.

We gradually became acquainted
and shared many pleasant days,
with R V travels, pinochle games,
with dining out and plays.

The wife was highly capable,
she had a special sheen.
The way she set about life's tasks,
just turned our envy green.

The husband loved to golf and bowl.
He loved most any game.
For years he played trombone in bands
but,when duty called, he came.

They reared two daughters and a son,
of whom they must be proud;
Because their offspring surely would
stand tall, in any crowd.

Now, in your golden fiftiest year,
we fondly cherish you.
You stood the test and did your best.
God's blessings on you two.

are sorely missed.This was read at their celebration
party.
